Cirque du Soleil Banana Shpeel in Chicago

Watching and listening musical show is the happiest moment in my life. I remember the days when I was still working in Eastwood, my friends and I will have girl’s night out every Friday. After our work, we usually go to comedy bars like Punch line to have a good time. Well, as you all know I worked in call center industry and I can say life there is boring and monotonous. You really need to take those breaks like going to a movie or have team building to lighten up your life.

Since I moved here in Chicago I’ve never been to any musical or comedy show. I heard that Cirque du Soleil has a new show called Banana Shpeel. The said show is going to perform at Chicago Theater on November 19, 2009 to January 3, 2010. After that, their next destination is going to be at Beacon Theater in New York City on February 4, 2010 to April 30, 2010. I have never seen the show but I heard good things about it. Just the name itself, “Banana Spheel” looks interesting and humorous. So, I searched it online to learn more about the show and I found out that it is indeed a great show. It is combination of comedy styles with the use of hip-hop, tap, eccentric dance and slapstick, all linked by hilarious narrative that ignites a succession of wacky adventures. The costumes, crazy humor and intense dancing choreography are really amusing and entertaining compared to other comedy or musical shows. I hope I could watch them while they are here in Chicago.
