My horoscope

Libra (Sep 23 - Oct 22)

Make your point, fine, but don't force the issue. Wait for them to come around.

Don't try to sugarcoat your message today. Say what you mean and mean what you say without dancing around the issue. That's not to imply you should blurt out the first thing that comes to mind. Collect and structure your thoughts first, but once you have them organized, don't be afraid to lay your cards on the table. Responses from others will be just as direct, opening the door to a productive exchange.

Renewal of Wedding Vows

Yesterday, we attended the renewal of wedding vows of our Ninong and Ninang. They have been married for 40 years and they have decided to celebrate their anniversary by renewing their vows to one another. I have known them for more than one year and they have been so good to us. That is why we chose them as our Ninang and Ninang on our wedding. They treated us like their daughter and son and the feelings are the same, we treated them like our parents. I am so proud of them. Forty years of marriage is a lot of hard work and sacrifices. I wish my marriage will lasts that long and forever. My hubby and Amvic had the special song "I Will Be Here", requested by the couple. Sorry, I do not have any photo because I left my camera at Aunt Zenia's house when we went their place on Christmas day. Supposedly, I will use my husband's camera but I did not know that the battery is not charging properly so when checked it in the morning it is still no charge. lol.

Club House gravy tips video

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Club House. All opinions are 100% mine.

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year. It is the time where my family and close relatives gather together to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Exchanging gifts, sharing stories and eating together are the things I really enjoyed most. Now that I moved here in Illinois, I clueless of what food I am going to prepare this coming Christmas to my husband. I can cook simple dish but not like those foods prepared in fancy restaurant. That is why at home, I always watch the food channel to learn and get tips or ideas about cooking. If only my mom is here then I would not need to worry because she will do all the cooking. She is great cook and can bake really well.

Last Thanksgiving, we cooked turkey since it is the traditional meal to prepare. The turkey taste quiet ok but the gravy was a disaster. It was watery and bland. I told to myself I have to make this perfect or else my husband will divorce me. LOL. A friend of mime showed me Club House gravy tips video, and she said it is so easy and simple to make. She tried it and it taste so good like a homemade gravy. I probably try the Club House gravy this coming Christmas. If you want to win Club House Gravy products, visit their Website. Joshua Xavier Narcelles

JOSHUA is from the Hebrew, and means "the Lord is my salvation." In the Bible, Joshua was Moses' successor; he led the children of Israel into the Promised Land.

XAVIER is from the Basque, and means "new house." Also from the Arabic, meaning "bright." Popular usage is traced to Saint Francis Xavier, a 16th century Jesuit missionary.

Christmas vacation in Branson Missouri

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

I cannot believe it's only nine days to go before Christmas. I am pretty much excited of this coming holiday because this is going to be the first Christmas of my baby Josh. He will be two months old on December 20. We are planning to celebrate Christmas at home but I thought it would be good to embrace a winter holiday in Branson, Missouri. My family has been there before but it was summer time. We only stayed there for three days but we really had fun. The kids enjoyed the amusement centers and theme park, which they said the one of the best theme park in the world. While me and my hubby enjoyed fishing at Lake Taneycomo where we caught different kinds of fish like trout, bass, crappie, catfish and blue gills. You will never get bored if you visit Branson because they have so much to offer. Day and night, there are plenty of things to do. During the day, experience there outdoor adventures like hiking, climbing, scuba diving, boating, biking etc. While at night enjoy the live shows, shopping in the mall and various of restaurant. I am not sure what outdoor activities they are offering if it is winter season but I know it is going to be fun and exciting as the summer season. The last time we went there we stayed at Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and the staffs are very amiable and helpful. They have the great services and amenities. Maybe we are going to try the other Hilton hotel, which is the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. They are offering special hotel packages like the “It’s a Wonderful Life”, starting at $329 per night running from Nov 15 through December 23, 2009. The package includes a Branson Landing passport loaded with discounts at dozens of bazaars and restaurants along with a treatment at Aspire Medical Spa. If you like your little ones enjoy Story Time with Mrs. Claus and Santa himself will deliver presents, cookies and milk to guest rooms, get the “Santa’s Coming to Town Package”, which starts at $189 per night. Make sure not to miss the Branson Area Festival of Lights where all Branson aglow for the holidays.

My precious passport

I almost lost my passport. Fortunately my husband asked me about it. I organized my things and threw all the unnecessary things and papers that I no longer need. Little did I know that my passport was still in the white envelope that I thrown in the recycle bin. When my husband asked about I can no longer find it. I looked everywhere like in my bag, in our cabinet or drawer but still I can't find it. Then I remembered that I clean up our things the other day. And my hubby already put our garbage and recycle bin outside because it is garbage day tomorrow. I immediately told my hubby to get the recycle bin back in the house. I checked the bin and there I saw my passport inside the envelope. What a great relief when I found my passport. That would be a headache for me because I will need to go to Philippine Embassy in Chicago to request for a new passport. When I renewed my passport it took me almost two months before I receive it. Here is the link where I process my renewal of passport: http://www.chicagopcg.com.

Kennon Road, Benguet

Kennon Road is also known as Zig-Zag road or Benguet road. It is one way or route if you want to go to Baguio City. It usually takes 50 minutes to an hour for commuter to reach the city. By the way, we live in Rosario so my family usually go there every weekends. It is the shortest route if you are coming from Manila. The other two road that you can take to go to Baguio are Marcos Highway and Naguilian Road. For my hubby it will take him 30 minutes to drive from Rosario to Baguio. Kennon Road is one of the dangerous road in the Philippines because of the sharp hairpin turns and curves. It is slippery when it rains and sometimes there are landslide that will block your way. So be careful when driving to this area.
